"Fisherman's" Anise Oil Soap
Got a bar of 'fisherman's' anise oil soap as a gift recently. According to the label you're supposed to keep it in your tacklebox and use it to wash your hands while fishing to wash off scents that might spook fish. Apparently you can clean your lures with them at it helps attract fish. I remember hearing that anise oil is, or used to be, used in other scented fish baits, but I've never heard of this "old-time secret" soap. Anybody familiar with this?
