I would not try the lake this year. Not worth your while. Not many fish left. I don't think it is from overfishing. Winterkill and low water levels have taken most of the fish out.
Ten years ago every size of perch were abundant. The larger ones were harder to catch.
The lake that is within 1 mile (South Cooking Lake) is the lowest it has been in over 30+ years. All the lakes in the area rely on snowfall and natural runoff.
