Laker lures in order of preference (and i have probably caught well over a thousand, many many many 30 plus pounds
1) Rhys Davis herring teaser heads with herring. Inject extra herring oil into herring. Run downriggers at bottom of wear you see baitfish
2) Large #4 LT Five of Diamonds. Run it at least 15 feet behind downrigger ball at top of where you are seeing baitfish. Tie a piece of shoelace to eye of the hook and soak it in herring oil
3) Downrigger ball > 8 feet > big salmon flasher > 10 feet > 3/4 Kamlooper orange and black with shoelace fish in center of baitfish
4) Do drifts over targests jigging buzz bombs at the samer depth where you see the fish
Troll at 5.5 but lots of turns so speed is up and down
Probably I catch 60 percent with first rigs. i use the others if i cant get herring or on multi day trips after herring gets too funky. Use big herring and big hooks. Lakers are piggies.
