Default Not trying to be the fish police .... But

-- I will stand to be corrected but it's my opinion the area of the "west side" creek is closed to angling year round, for any species.

-- At one time they had buoys marking the line, and the closed area is large, not just the creek mouth.

-- We are from Red Deer and used to fish Pigeon all the time, since it is a wonderful fishery for walleye, tags or not

-- but the drive with the boat is 1 1/2 hours

-- now our home base is Gull lake, 20 minutes

-- fishery is the same as pigeon in regards to numbers, but in Gull they are
bigger, in an afternoon catch you can expect several in the 70 to 75 cm, and all the walleye are fat and big

-- sadly 82 days till the close of open water fishing here in central alberta
