Ya I forgot to mention they are really good for whitefish as well as perch. We have best luck on the short silver ones tipped with a maggot. Whitefish seem to like the longer ones more than perch, but silver seems to work best in most cases.
Tie them on tight so they sit 90 to your line, concave side up... that gives them a nice swimming action when you lightly jig them.
