i like the St Croix rods and Lamson reels. both are top quality products for a reasonable (for flyfishing) price. i've had reddington, orvis and sage reels over the yrs and the Lamson reels are by far the best i have had (although they were better before they got bought by Waterworks, just not quite the same feel to them as the old ones). i also like the Scientific Trout series fly line, real nice casting line with good accuracy.
that being said, i have friends who swear by the sage products (rods and reels) and won't use anything else. same with the TFO rods, people who have them like them especially considering the price.
