Nootka Marine Adventures is a good outfit for sure but any real decent fishing for Chinook is all offshore now.

The last 4 years have had the worst returns to Nootka Sound in the last 50. You can still get lucky and get a fresh run come in and have decent fishing for a few days but overall it just plain sucks. A lot of the guides I know have left for greener pastures and most the outfits are hurting. I thought this might have been the year but it wasn’t stellar if you stayed on inside water. 5 days and you were lucky to go away with half a dozen fish with very few breaking 20 pounds.
