Well since you asked, because the Flames are of the opinion that they are a playoff team which we both know is ridiculous. Any tradable asset they have is either sadled with a terrible contract or a no trade clause or both. Their "high end" talent is closer to 40 than 20 which isn't a good thing. Don't despair you'll remain good enough to finish just out of the playoffs which means you still won't get a top draft pick. They shoulda blew things up 3 or 4 years ago while your players still had trade value, instead they will languish in mediocrity until they hit rock bottom and finally start a rebuild...a rebuild will take 4 to 5 years as us Oiler fan know (we are still likely 2 years away)...That sir is why!
