Then you can give it to your wife or kid, like you said SMALLEST by law, im certainly not suggesting a 6lb kit 300 mag either, a 308 is certainly not enough gun to start a flinch and a 270 isn’t terrible either. I would go with a 30-06 and use 150’s in it and its pretty much the same as a 270 with the option to go up to a 180 grain or bigger. Like another guy said, the 06 isn’t sexy but neither is the 270 or the 308.
