Default Voere Rifles

I have a Voere Shikar made in 1967 in .270win. It's the best rifle I own, and I have Tikka's, Win's, Rem's and an old Lee-Enfield LEC1 made in 1896. The Voere likes 150 grain ammo and shoots .5 inch at 100 yards. Even with the cheapest factory ammo it still shoots 1" groups. I would'nt sell it for anything. I bought 3 boxes of 150 grain Winchester ammo for $6.99 a box in Spokane WA, and with a rest all 3 shots touch each other. Pretty good for 100 yards. My Dad back in the late 70s wanted to sell the rifle for $200 with a Weaver K4 and nobody wanted it. Nobody wanted a German made rifle. Dad gave me the rifle after I came home with a Mule deer when I was 18 or 19. I don't know who was prouder, him or me. I have seen both the German made Voere's and Austrian made ones and the German ones feel and shoot much better.
