Yes, the cheetah is a decent bow to sat with. It's rated at 320 fps, so it's plenty fast enough for hunting. Many of the entry level bows today aren't rated any faster. Preferably it's a 2009 or 10 model. You can tell by looking at the cams and limb pockets. And if the archery bug gets you, you won't be out a lot of money if you decide to upgrade down the road. I'm still using a martin Bengal I bought ten years ago. ( It's the same as the cheetah except it's 2" longer.) The only thing that might be a concern would be axle wear.
