i helped 2 friends load a moose into his truck last year with one 2 x 6 and a couple of straps.. got it in there in one piece. Total pain in the butt and didnt think we would do it without cutting it up.
For a ramp ive had friends use 4 2 x 6's to help slide the moose into the truck in one piece. A cheap ramp but it works if you have the man power to pull the moose into the truck.
I agree it becomes much messier if you cut the moose in half to get it into the truck but 2 guys can at least load it.
