Geez, I was just thinking this same thing the other day, for me Im mounting a rack and then I will make a little pedestal to sit on top of rack, and mount a boat winch to it. As for ramps I am using 2 2X8s, works for me, the ramp anyway. Rack and winch are in progress for next year
