Continue to form loops towards the eye of the hook. Make the loops progressively bigger for the first 4 loops and bring the size of the loops down from that point.



You'll want to stop about 4mm from the eye.



Form your last loop and cut the starnds at the eye.



Form a nice tight head with 3 whip finish wraps. Cut thread. Now time to finish the fly.



With a dubbing pick, pry out the inner loops. Black on the outside, red inside for this fly I tied.



This is the final fly.





Here's, from top to bottom, size 8, size 16 and a size 18 iced up yolk.
