My experience with 155 - 168 gr bullets in the 308 ... accuracy nodes are often found with about 42 and again at 44 gr of Varget. These charge weights will not give the velocity the 308 is capable of, but for applications to 300M they are often good groupers. Also, my 308’s like IMR 4166 as much as Varget. For plinking 125gr Sierra Spitzer FB are surprisingly accurate.
