I'll send you a picture of the flies. Surprisingly all the big chinooks were taking smaller flies (Size 4). This guy took a black intruder style fly in size 1. Sadly I had 10 attempts at Chinook over 25 pounds and lost all of them. 1 Broken rod, 2 straightened hooks, 1 broken hook, and a complete Spey line and sinking tip taken (Should have used 50 pound backing not 30), the others just headed downstream and shook the fly. 9 Weight is not enough for those fish. Expensive consequences but incredibly fun and it is driving me nuts thinking a whole year must pass before doing it again. I am seriously thinking about selling everything and living there at leaast for the summers. I don't think a day would go by without fishing of some sort.
