Well I was too lazy to read this entire thread so someone might have already posted my thoughts... but....
I highly doubt suckers can actually negatively impact trout numbers. In most stocked lakes and ponds the trout do not reproduce anyway if the issue is eating trout eggs. As far as food competition goes - my money is on the trout.
Let them live and laugh at your friends when they think they have a massive rainbow and pull out a sucker!!
Anyone ever tried to eat one? I've thought about it.
