Personally - I wouldn't use the sport track to mount anything more than a rod holder. Although it supposed to be fine - it just didn't "feel solid enough" when considering you have a 10-20 lead ball hanging off a arm dangling over the side of the boat as the waves pitch you around.

.........really doesn't inspire confidence for me .........

(you can see a perfectly solid gunnel there with a nice wide flat and strong surface, so why not use it?)



Look at the Trackstar mounts they look much more solid.
