Thanks Lefty, I prefer not to have to do that but excellent advice if I get many responses that say 48 clicks is way more than normally needed for a properly boresighted scope. Maybe I'm still well into the normal range at 12 inches off at 100 yds...I have no idea what's normal but judging from some previous threads where people are starting at 25-50 yds just to hit paper, maybe I'm in the right ballpark. I don't like to have to adjust a scope so that it is near the adjustment limits to set the zero, but as long as I have a reasonable amount of adjustment left, I don't worry about it. I boresight, then start shooting at 100 yards, and I am usually within a few inches of zero with the first shot.
