welcome to the forum. where the heck do you live that hunting season is just around the corner? most of it is in the rearview mirror here in alberta.
as for the question....arithmetic is usually a pretty good argument. explain the cost of new vs used and how many repairs can be done for the cost difference. if you will be driving it more than her, and you are ok with the down time that repairs can mean, then used would make more sense for you.
