Skinner!!! And D! Good on them.

The talking guy said 10 shots on goal is the League’s record for the lowest shots on goal in a winning clinching game. Robertson had almost as many (9) alone, lol. But it is the goals that count and goaltending makes a huge difference, of course.

Something Twisted Canuck said a couple of times in regard to the Florida - New York series that comes to mind.

Well, here comes Florida! Good luck to Oil, they are going to need it. Hopefully Skinner keeps it up, however unlikely. He came through big time, as big as it gets!
I have been critical of Skinner and gladly eat crow to see him win this one for his team. I hope both he and the Oiler's keep it up and would love to see them hoist the Stanley Cup. I thought Dallas would dominate the Oiler's which shows the games are played on the ice and not on paper. Good luck to them in the finals. Will be fun to watch,

Indeed. Skinner had the game of his career today, without a doubt. Let’s hope there are more coming in the next 2-3 weeks.

Die hard flamers fans are delusional at the best of times and now your starting to sound like trump, I'm right even when I'm dead wrong. That's OK nobody expects you to admit you were wrong or that the Oilers are the best team in the west this year, in fact we would be shocked if you did.

My buddy changes Facebook profile pic to whoever the oilers are up against.
He hasn’t put up the panthers logo yet. Bugger is messing with my mind. I’m ready to pay him cash to put up the logo….. doubt he will though.

Anti-Oiler can do this as it works in our favor. Pro-Oiler, not so much

A fun stat:

"This is the 45th consecutive Stanley Cup Final that includes a current or former teammate of Jaromir Jagr..."

Yup Bob stole one last night, the Oilers had chances but Bob closed the door, not the end of the world, got to go high on Bob, the bottom of the net is closed for business

Well the gloaters have something to gloat about, given their teams are all golfing already, some of which have been golfing since the playoffs started

Only going to be 1 team hoisting the cup which means 31 teams fans are disappointed again, that's the way it works every year, this is no exception.

Well, not exactly. Probably about 6-8 team's fan bases are disappointed. I was under no allusions Calgary was going to win the Cup, therefore, when they didn't, and 100% met my expectations, I wasn't disappointed. Pretty sure Chicago, San Jose, Anaheim, Arizona, etc. fans didn't see a cup win in the 2024 season either....

Spoiler, Calgary (or San Jose, Chicago, Anaheim, Columbus, Montreal, Arizona, etc.) isn't winning the cup next year either, and when they don't, I'm not going to be disappointed.

I won’t be to disappointed.
My organization, has won the cup 11.1% of the time since it’s inception.
I chaulk it up to the other 88.9% of the other teams time……
That and a couple conference championships, we are still the best organization going.

Oilers are busted up real good and I don’t think they have the true grit to play through it which is crucial to hoist the cup.

One guy mcjesus flying around eating up ice time will burn out and/or play tired and get injured!

Wait for it.
