I have no problems eating crow on all the negative comments I directed towards the Oilers in this thread. What a spectacular TEAM effort. I'd still punt Nurse tho....lol.

^ Lol.

Ok, if Edmonton wins the next game, I’ll buy an Oilers t-shirt.

I think that’s all part of the plan to syphon as much money and then win game seven at home.

Today was probably the best game that the Oilers played, in my opinion. Maybe in these entire playoffs, at least as far as the entire team effort goes. Well coached. Well behaved, for the most part. They showed depth. Skinner did what he had to (didn’t even make me cringe when getting out of the net!). The big guns finally played reasonable amount of time and it showed. One more game left. Nurse still turns over the puck behind the net for no apparent reason, but that’s his forte, I guess. Luckily nothing came out of it.

Panthers… Well… not sure what happened to them. This one was one of the worst games they played, in my opinion. Yeah, sure, Bobrovsky is not up to doing the tricks everyone knows he can (to be fair, he had done plenty these play offs and most of the goals the Oil scored on him weren’t really his fault), but these constant turn overs… Sure, they weren’t as noticeable when Bob made the saves on basically every one of them in the first three games. They really need to work on that chit. But they also don't have any of the odd man rushes of their own anymore that they capitalized on more often than not. They sure don’t look like Florida. Maybe the Capitals, at best, but not Panthers. They look like tired old dudes or amateurs.

Also, what happened to good massive hits?

While true, can’t really block in two on one or three on one/two situations.

Game 7 will be a beauty!

On a positive note the Tim Hortons NHL Hockey Challenge has been good to me in which a few oilers have contributed to my points along the way.

Looking at the stats from pass few game wins, the oilers are out blocking the panthers by a big margins compared to those 3 early losses.

Don't think the tie was as expensive and has that many miles on it.

Not at all, just when doing picks that are likely to produce a goal ya can not pick Hyman.

Good thing is when the Oilers loose I usually pick up a point along the way which I prefer.
