There are 3 moose just inside the city limit in N.E.Calgary! They are grazing on what was a canola field. I've seen the odd one now and again but never 3 and never just relaxing in the field.
when I was working near the airport one year we had two moose by deerfoot mall . Police had to dispatch them as they were between deerfoot and the airport .
These guys should be O.K. with traffic, they are just west of Garden road/Rg. 285, North of McKnight, and there is not much traffic. You can see them clearly with the crops gone and the white snow
