Default Poppers

I have not had any luck on poppers for trout in Alberta.

I have caught some nice Rainbows on small suspending rapalas however. I use a variety of retrival methods and like to twitch them to entice the fish.

Good luck and good fishing.

Ive had luck with them floating Rattling raps , about an inch and a half long and work wonders for rainbows . I have a larger version I like to troll for lakers aswell .

my little flourescent red strike indicators get slammed way more than most people would believe, while im fishing trout sub-surface. i have often thought of making a hook like my red indicators.

Dry flies have been known to work, poppers are tough to cast and do not have a great reputation on trout. If you realy feel like tossing around cork and styrofoam rather than feathers and fur i've used a hopper patern that was made with foam and rubber bands that worked well.

I've often had fish hit my indy as well. I've never tried this before, but ran across this vid the other day. Might be worth a try...
