tight lines and straight shooting
If you are fly fishing take note of what insects are hatching and match the hatch. I've had good success using a Green Damsel nymph (#8) this year on the ponds around here. If you don't fly fish that doesn't mean you can't fish with flies. Use a slip bobber and a small split shot about 15 cm. above your fly. Adjust the distance between your bobber and the fly until you find the depth the fish are feeding at. Use a slow retrieve. I've had far more success with nymphs that dry flies.
