Default Minors Permits and Kids

Is there a general spacing requirement that can't be exceeded between my son (12 yrs old with a minors POL) and I when we are in the field hunting. Some one told me we have to be with 10 meters of each other at all times. Is this true?

Thanks In Advance

Rob

I think the idea is you are close enough to insure good gun control and safety. Depending on the kid that might be inches or hundreds of yards. I have not heard of an actual set # of meters to be legal.

The regs state that under 18 are "accompanied" which is defined in the guiding section (that section only) as "...easily communicate verbally without use of electronic devices". Seems to be a reasonable interpretation.

As always, when in doubt, contact F&W, that and abide by your own comfort level.
