Default Place to fish..

I'm here visiting from the east coast and looking for a place to spincast fish as I didn't bring a fly rod.. Any suggestions would be great! I'm 20 mins south of Clgy and would travel within 1 hour or so for some fishing.

Thanks!

Hey man, I'm from Miramichi too. I live in Calgary. For in town I fish in glenmore resevoir but south of the city I think there's a few decent spots. What are you fishing and do you plan on eating it. I'm used to catching brookies in the Chi so I'm getting used to Alberta fishing as well. If you are willing to travel an hour head to kananaskis. Theres several good lakes out there. If you just want easy rainbow trout head out the 22x toward brag creek.....it turns into highway 66 and will take you right to Mclean pond and Allen Bill Pond. around 7-9 inch rainbows on average but i've hauled out 11.5 inches before. If you want something a little bigger and better maybe head out to upper and lower lakes in kananaskis. Theres also wedge pond which has arctic greyling.
