Is there any good boat launches for bigger boats & what's the fishing like in open water . Would like to take my grandchildren out seeing that its not that far from Edmonton .

Default Lac La Nonne

I launch on the south side of the lake. It’s the main public launch and has decent concrete blocks (no dock though). On a dry year it can be a bit shallow but it’s been okay for my 20’ boat the last two years.

I like open water fishing there because the lake had a lot of interesting structure. It can be challenging to fish at times but the fish are there. You do need to be careful in a couple spots on the east side where that structure is rocks that are only a foot below the surface.
