6 Species, 1 Hook
The jighead was on fire this morning.
The first fish of the morning was a small sturgeon.
Then the walleye started biting. From small's to mediums to 1 large 29" .
Then throw in a goldeye
A mooneye
A pike
And a sucker
That makes 6. All caught with the same hook and from the same hole. Great day on the river.

Awesome! 5 is my record. I've never seen a jig set up like that with the treble stinger attached. Could you expand a little more on it? Thanks.

Do you specifically scratch the paint off the jig head?

Probably a stupid question but looks like it is scratched off on purpose.

Awesome, thanks! I'll give it a try this coming week. What's the approximate ratio of fish on the stinger and on the jig?

Looks to me like it's just worn off from being jigged on an abrasive bottom. Happens to mine all the time. Cheap paint.

I fish where the bottom is all rock. And that hook got abused bad today. The paint just falls off.

I find the smaller fish get the stinger hook and the bigger ones hit the main hook.

Very cool feat. Congrats. I've often thought a stinger would help those finicky "bait biters". Good tip!

I use 3/8. I try to jig as vertical as possible.

Awesome line up for one day fishing Dago, can't say I've ever caught that many different species in one outing. Good to see the Sturgeon biting as well, maybe the cooler weather is what they needed. Congrats on a great day!

Thats a great job from that jig. Don't know if it's the light, but that sturgeon almost looks like an albino. Glad that someone is taking advantage of the "Sturgeon Moon".

Good effort and luck. Goes to show you don't need a big tackle box.

That's pretty cool ....... that's what draws people to river fishing - variety and the changing of the species in different parts of the river.
A leadhead jig would definitely be on the list of "if you could only use 3 lures what would they be" discussion.

Awesome! What did you use for a bait? I can see some meat-like stuff on the main jig hook.

I forgot to put my token back in my tackle box. I'm off for 5 days coming up this weekend. It'll be game on.

Sounds like a great day.
I've managed 5 species one hook in 2 separate systems(trib of Babine back home and at the Forks southern AB) but never 6.
Thanks for sharing.

You should try and get down this fall. Here's a few from this morning.
A fat 28"
This one's for you freshairgetter.
2 more sturgeon on the jig.
And I'm sure my sandwich is only reason my dogs come with me.
