Default Mock scrapes are working!

Went out this morning and set up a ground blind on my favourite funnel. Put some mock scrapes up before and looks whats coming. Hopefully the big bruiser comes walking through with a doe!

1. find a place were you know deer are moving through
2. I use Tinks power scrape starter and Code Blue estrous urine. However other stuff works too so i hear.
3. With SCENT FREE shoes make a scrape in the ground
4. spray buck urine in it then doe urine.
5 set a cam up over it

the rag you see in the pic is sprayed with doe in estrus urine. It is just a little extra thing i added in hopes of the wind carrying the scent past a bucks nose.

I do about the same thing but a bit differently.
I find a decent trial , you can usually find them at the base of ridges or in a vegetation transition area ( birches to spruse groves, etc.)
I then find a tree with a branch that closely overhands the trail, and scrape out an area about 2ft., square with my boots- I have found that it makes no difference if i de-scent or not.
I then pizz in the scrape, and come back the next day .
it is amazing at how fast they come around and check it out....

I do the same as Cat and I get most picks after I freshen'er up. Action almost seems to die down a bit after it doesn't get "freshened". I sometimes grind an applecore from an apple I've eaten into the ground and that also stops them for a picture without spooking. I don't do the apple thing in conjunction with the "pizz".
