Default Replicas

Who makes good fish replicas? I am looking at getting a couple made so if you know somebody that does this let me know. I called a couple places but they don't do replicas they want the real fish. Thanks for the the help again. Cameron

I caught a 12 lb x 33" walleye at Lake Newell a couple of years ago and had a replica mount made by Advance Taxidermy out of Caledon, ON. They do great work, but it is somewhat pricy (~$700 for my plain wall mount). I just sent them the length and girth, plus fa ew pictures. I received the mount in about 8-9 months via FedEx (in a big giant box)

Here is their website: http://www.advancedtaxidermy.com/

KJPFISH, would you mind sharing a picture of your replica?

Here are a few pics of my walleye replica plus a pic of 2 rainbows I had done back in 1987 (regular mounts - not replicas). I'm not sure that it will show in the pic but both rainbows have small cracks around the head and gills. For those of you interested, both were taken out of Crawling Valley in the early years after the lake was first created and stocked with rainbows. Both are 26" - female was about 12.5# and the male was about 15#.

Good luck with your mounting plans - they do bring back nice memories!

Very good paint job on the walleye. Nice to see some of those old rainbows from Crawling valley, those were huge. Nice mounts.

Default LAX Fish Replicas

LAX Fish Replicas are the best there is. Google 'em. You won't be disappointed. They r from the US but have many Canadian clients. Their pike and muskie replicas are especially jaw-dropping.
