Jimbows or Accurate Archery. You won't go wrong with either of them. Besides they are AO sponsors, so that makes it even better!

Jimbows in Calgary for sure, and in Edmonton when they open and try to avoid the big box stores if you can, especially if setting up a new bow

For big box stores, see Ryan P. at Cabelas South Edmonton.
Good guy - knows his stuff - friendly and open.

You just anwered your own question !!!!!!! Pretty sure any only ARCHERY shop do not put people behind their counters just to fill a spot, wouldn't be in business very long !

Doesn't mean you have to stay away. You just have to watch who you are dealing with.

I do agree with you on that point, problem is when your new to archery you would not know how to tell when someone is not qualified and just a body filling a position. I have dealt with one guy in Calgary at a box store that i would trust again, when i go to Jimbows though i have all the faith in the world that everyone that works there knows what their talking about.

If Cabelas North in Edmonton, see Josh or Ralph Luedtke. Good techs.

Try to make sure you go to all of the shops, big box or not, and try every bow you can get your hands on. That way you'll have comparisons and you'll know which one you like the best. One of the benefits in going to the actual archery shops is that ALL THEY DO is set up and sell bows, particularly the ones they stock. Just from the sheer volume of archers they help, they have lots of experience and can advise on many products ie. arrows, sights, etc.

T&T is a great shop. Jon is a standup guy willing to help you with whatever is needed. He is very knowledgable and willing to share it with you. They have a good inventory selection at the moment and I make a weekly run from Lacombe to shoot the sh!t and my bow as it has a very friendly helpful atmosphere. Definetly give them a try and I am sure you won't be disappointed.

Cheers, Elk
