Default Angry at the world in general?

Well now that hunting season is over ,will we see a lapse in all the angry rhetoric about;
The lousy hunter ethics,
The Trespassers,
The evil road hunters,
The Poacher accusations and
The idiots who dare to use an OHV while hunting?
I mean other than the Ice fishing type "poachers" it should be pretty quiet around here for a few months anyway.
I suppose there will always be politics and religion on the general forum to keep people happy (by that I mean miserable).
It seems like there is a lot of angry, fed up, ticked off people in the Alberta Outdoors fraternity.

You asked if the angry people were going to take a break now that hunting season is over.

I made a joke about being angry that hunting season is over.....

It's lost its humor now, I apologize.
Carry on.

Thanks Actually I got the reaction I expected.
If I would have posted a thread about some a hole road hunting and ruining my hunt I would have had 50 responses by now

There's no season for angry. Just seasons on things to be angry or negative about. They will find other things to bitch about. Maybe they'll bitch about people saying they are bitchy.

...or, post one about how you walked 50 yards from the road, into "your " spot, and those damn road hunters screwed it up by glassing your(?) deer.....goes both ways....get used to it...

Default We only see what we want to see

I have noticed a lot of happy generous and kind AO people raising money for Tundra Monkey. donating items or auctioning items on PIF so others members or the Wounded Warriors benefit. Dont see anyone angry about anything actually. The AO glass is full, not half full not empty full of great people.
CArry on with what you were doing!

Venting is better than going Postal.

The hunters that understand the 'zen' (for lack of a better word) of hunting do not get angry for a poor season, they get smarter the next season.

I thank the AO forum for bringing the best? out in everyone.
I do enjoy the forums but wish they were used more for sharing ideas and outdoors lore instead of some of the useless words/accusations and irrelevant
conversations. We all can vent here if we want, hopefully within good reason and respectfully. We can all use this forum to benefit eachother in our quest to enjoy the great outdoors of Alberta too.
I am sure young outdoorsmen and women read these posts too. And I am sure they are hopeful of finding some information about the successful hunt, set trap or secret fishing hole. Not some bickering bunch of virtual avatars in cyber space.

You are correct , there are many happy generous people here and the PIF thread is a light in the tunnel . But you must admit the road hunt / poacher type threads do get a disproportionate number of responses here.

I am technologically challenged. Real slow, late getting into the computer gig. Thought it was a newer generation thing I would have no use for. Now I am glad I grew up and moved along with the times. Got the internet, found this forum, which in my opinion is occupied by good Canadian hospitality. Even the angry types come across as gentlemen. If I find a post that is getting angry I simply move on. I do think, though, that venting is good and sometimes it is good to get another opinion before we get too full of ourselves.

Default Belly achers

My season is not over yet, still have the 212 primative season. Did not fill the regular season tags, don't realy care if I fill the others. I have had a good time in general. After the season is over start preparing for and looking forward to the next one. I guess we should just be glad we have another season to look forward to, some may not. As for belly achin' about stuff, people are going to do that anyway that is just the nature of the beast. So, turn em loose, and let the good times roll. It's entertainment, enjoy it.

Actually, I always looked at it as the opposite. It's not the end of the season, but the start of the next. I try to be out every day I can, which is most, scouting and planning for next year. There is always something new to learn. I always say I hunt all year, I just can't kill until the season opens. My stands are all set up by April, at the latest, then I stay out of that area until opening day. This has come back to by me, however, as I have had the buck I'm hunting die, leaving me hunting it's ghost, which is good practice anyway as I have found many to be ghosts any way. I do find, though, that if the deer is dead, there will probably be another one as the habitat features that attracted the original fellow will draw another in. Boy am I long winded today. must be the coffee. Sorry, time to go for awalk.

Very well said, sir. I, for one, will be spending many joyful hours shooting paper. My sophomore season saw me hone my skills, I found lots of game, shot at and missed lots of game. It would seem my shooting needs to catch up to my hunting.
