Default My Journalist Daughter....

So my daughter Hannah has been working at Lloydminster Newcap News since mid December (after doing her internship there, and graduated from NAIT in broadcast journalism)....and has put together a demo of some of her work. She has been doing a number of stories on the Canadian Armed Forces, in Wainright and Cold Lake, got to go for a ride in the LAV and Leopard II, a Huey, and a Herc last weekend. She is a little upset that she doesn't meet the minimum weight requirements, so they can't take her for a spin in the CF-18, but isn't willing to plump up 20 lbs....lol. She prefers reporting and writing stories to anchoring, but it's all part of learning the trade. She is loving it, and I couldn't be more pleased to see her living the dream!

Edit: I gave her grief about the 'assault rifle' bit, but she has to read what they give her. Also, when she threw the axe....it did not hit that target in the middle! Creative editing....

Another thread about how your beautiful daughter is excelling at her career.
Your tailor must be busy replacing the buttons that pop off your shirt.
I can't imagine anything that could make a guy more proud.

I've been working in TV news for over 20 years now & she has a great career ahead of her.
I've seen a lot of bad or average reporters/anchors go thru believe me.
I used to work with Moses who was in her reel.
She not only looks good, sorry, but her read is very strong.
She has to grab her story by the balls & be convincing.
I see many young ones just reading & it's hard to watch.
I actually worked in Lloyd too.
Good luck to her.
Maybe we'll work together some day.
