Anyone been there lately ? Curious to know what the algea situation is like ! Kids and I want to fish and swim , and hoping its not too bad !

Buddy told me last Thursday that there were dead whitefish all around the lake and that a Cyanobacteria advisory is in effect. There should be a site to check. maybe Alberta environment.

Fishing still great. Small summer-kill happens every year. Troll weedlines and catch walleye every 5 minutes. Great for kids. If u want to go for a swim just stop at Long Island Lake about 20 min south . Hwy 44 north of Westlock.
Clean water,beach, pike and perch.
