Default Never Been to Wabuman Lake....`

I'm looking for a place to stay and I'd like to go for about a week in late August.

How are the beach's ? Is that lake any good to pull the kids around on the TUBE !
I'll of course be wanting to do some PIKE FISHING as well !

Would there be a better choice for the above that isn't Hundreds of KM's from Calgary ?

Cheers,

/FC....

Oh, sorry.....

No campground. Definitely looking for a Hotel / Motel or B&B for the family and I as the Wife's not much of a camper.

I was wondering if the water was good for tubing (like Travers and Sylvan). I hear the fishing's really good !

personally, i go wakeboarding/tubing at wab all the time - many people whine about the oil spill and think it's gross. the water is very clear compared to a lake like pigeon. i live on the south side of edmonton and can be on the water there in about an hour; half that from the west end as far as a room in town goes.
cheers

X 2 Seahawk water is probably cleaner than before the spill I swim in it when the fishing is slow (Lately I haven't been swimming much)!!!! Wabumun is a great little town with all the amenities and they have a great new water/spray park for the kids. Wait why am I at work I think I'll go grab the fam, the boat and head out!!
