Anybody hear what's going on in Onion lake?
Rumour has it somebody fired rounds then got into a high speed chase through the rez on Saturday. They have a mobile command post set up, drones flying around even an armoured vehicle. Not a peep on the news

Nope its no dream, the RCMP searched the Molson hill area after 3 perps fired shots than ran into the bush, two have been captured no word on the third.

They were using drones, quads and a trailer full of dogs. This command center was set up in front of the arena on Sunday when we passed through.
Still not a word from the news media

More to the story
Onion Lake RCMP News Release:
At approximately 12:00 p.m. on Saturday July 29, 2017, Onion Lake and Turtleford RCMP members initiated a traffic stop on a pick-up truck on the Onion Lake First Nation in relation to a stolen vehicle investigation.
A firearm was pointed and discharged from the suspect vehicle in the direction of RCMP members. The suspect vehicle then attempted to evade police and became stuck in a slough a short distance away. A firearm was again discharged at responding members. An RCMP member then discharged a firearm in return.
No one was injured in the exchange.
Three adult males exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The RCMP Emergency Response Team and Police Dog Section along with members from several nearby RCMP detachments were immediately deployed. The scene was contained to ensure public safety.
Two suspects were arrested without incident shortly after. Based on investigation, a third suspect was arrested the following day.
One suspect was released without charges.
The second suspect, Trevor Carter (29) appeared in court this morning in Lloydminster, SK. He is remanded in custody and charged with:
o discharging a firearm with intent to wound - section 244 CC
o possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose - section 88 CC
o assault with a weapon - section 267(a) CC
o assaulting a police officer - section 270(1) CC
o flight from police - section 249.1(1) CC
o possession stolen property over $5,000 - section 354(1)
o several breach charges
The third suspect, Rocky Ochuschayoo (22) is also in custody and will appear in Onion Lake court on August 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. He is charged with:
o discharging a firearm with intent to wound - section 244 CC
o possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose - section 88 CC
o assault with a weapon - section 267(a) CC
o assaulting a police officer - section 270(1) CC
o flight from police - section 249.1(1) CC
o possession stolen property over $5,000 - section 354(1)
o wearing a disguise with intent – section 351(2) CC
o possession of a firearm while prohibited – section 117.01(1) CC
This investigation is ongoing. Updates will be provided as they become available.
As per RCMP policy, a member-involved discharge of a firearm is considered a “serious incident,” therefore, Saskatchewan RCMP has requested an independent, external investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident. The Regina Police Service has agreed to conduct the external investigation.
Because of the external investigation, the RCMP will not be providing further details or comment on that aspect of the incident.

Native reserves and stolen vehicles seem to go together.

If the RCMP officer that returned fire was a better shot, it would have saved the taxpayers a lot of money.

Give in to spoiled children, tell them they are special and Molly coddle them, and pretty soon they WILL believe the hype that they can't be touched.
Expect this type of crap to only get a lot worse!!

Just to clarify the post I made earlier on this thread. My response had nothing to do with the race, religion, or anything else about these particular suspects. My response was directed at anyone that would take a firearm and shoot at the police. I feel that anyone that goes so far as to shoot at the police, has forfeited their right to live, and they should be shot dead, and the taxpayers should not be left with the financial burden of dealing with such individuals. And this applies to anyone, of any race or religion.
