Default Ice Rod Guides Not Lined Up

How big of a deal is it if the guides don't quite line up on an ice rod? Tickle Stick was delivered a day ago and the guides on the very end of the rod (the spring bobber type thing) stick way out to the side. This was my first 'big' investment in an ice rod so I was a little disappointed. Attaching a picture:

This would annoy regardless if it effects the action or not.

It doesn't affect performance, but it is a quality control mistake. If it was me, it would bug me every time I use it, so I would look to take it back and get exactly want I want.

I have the same rod as does a fishn partner. Both rods have that same issue, does not however effect the action of the rod in any way. Don't know if it is common with the Tickle Stik but have seen it on other Tickles as well.

That is strange. Maybe its a new "feature" or fad. Like when the kids wore their hats sideways...

I always return defective rods because you never kn9w what else they did wrong. One doesn’t need a rod blowing up on a fish and ruining an outing.

Unfortunately ordered the rod from a place in the states so that complicates a return, but emailed the place and we'll see what happens

Yeah it sure bugged me too, I don't like to buy rods online really for this reason but it was a good price on sale. in University right now so trying to save a few dollars, though I like to shop locally. Some good news though- shout out to FishUSA for refunding the cost of the rod, have ordered lures from them for a few years now and service is second to none. Will pop by the fishin hole to see what I can do about another rod
