Default power engineering through correspondence at NAIT

Hello

I will be doing the 4th class power engineering CML course at NAIT in september.i am wondering how hard is the course? Lots of math or more mechanical knowledge? As well after i complete it how hard it is to get steam time? With that being said will companies hire you with a certificate of completion or do they really only want you to have the dimloma course? Last but not least how much money can a new 4th class make? I guess i should also mention i have my high school but do not have my math or science 30.If someone has taken the correspondence power engineer course at nait recently how was your experince?

I am new to this form any help would be appriceated thank you to everyone who awnsers.

Hi, did you take both part a and b at the same time?

Year and half old post friend.
And you have bumped some older PE threads too I see.
Bottom line, take your 4A and 4B back to back, then if you are one of the 10% to get a pracitcum or volunteer time for your 4th, good,
But likely in today's market you will not, so you will have PE courses and nothing more, write your ABSA and even if you pass you will be in limbo waiting for your steam time for your ticket.
My advice, 4A and B course combo with steam lab.
Or the full 2 yr course, you get full 3rd +.
My son has the 4th A & B courses and his ABSA part A.
He can't get a sniff even volunteer time so he will do steam lab in the spring.
Total so far for him is $2500 for the A/B and $4000 for steam lab.
Tough market in past few years.
