Exclamation air quality Calgary

The air is so crappy
17/10

Limit time outside today
Don't leave rover out.

Another 48-72 hours at least of this.

The air quality has caused a fire ban in Calgary. Authorities put the bans in place to prevent any more being added to the mix.

But the fires are feeding the high pressure system and holding this in place.

We need the rain asap.

True, but I think Washington's and BC's need is greater.

I spent the last 4 days hauling back and forth from the interior. Reloading in Kamloops was actually nice for a change because it was the only place without smoke. So bad on top of Rogers Pass that my eyes were stinging. Couldn't see the mountains. Heck you couldn't see the tree tops at times.

So does Washington state pay the massive carbon tax for this or will AB be exempt from paying one for 100 years. Makes a mockery of the whole AGW debacle.

So the city thinks that a few weiner roasts in backyards are going to make a difference when the entire sky is full of smoke? Give me a break.

Working 10 hour a day on the roof in this smoke has not been fun. Couldn't even see the next community over the visibility was so poor!

Looking at this site certainly paints a picture, think it was 9 fires over 25,000 acres ea, think it was 4 over 200,000. Those are some BIG fires.
You can change states up in the RH corner to check Idaho and Montana, just select the state;

Been suffering from a sore throat since April. All these air quality warnings and my throat feels better.

Yes, Calgary is bad.

Hwy3 area is even worse! Visibility was less than 1000 yards yesterday. Like very thick fog. Even staying inside isn't much help.

Haven't you heard? Its now "climate change".

I guess Silly Hall should try and implement 'alternative transportation' instead of cars to go to work while the smoke lasts. That'll sure make a dent in our current low-quality air!

I was gonna try 'alternative transportation' to go to my part-time job, but my greenie sister-in-law wouldn't let me borrow her broom.

Pray for rain overnight and hopefully this mess will clear out some.
It was really Smokey again today.
There is some blue finally in the sky, unlike at the start of the week.

I still haven't figured out what the big deal is about. Supposedly, I have a respiratory weakness, but feel about as well as a man of my advanced age can.
Wife went riding in the mountains yesterday and other than restricted visibility, no big deal and They rode about 20 miles .

Good strong wind this afternoon in our neck of the woods. It seems to have blown all that smoke away. At least I could see blue skies on my drive home. Still though, rain is needed in the affected areas.

GD Enviretards don't want any clear cut logging... ok..for dumb reasons, but we go along with it for the last 25 years.

Any small fires have been put out for the last 40 years.

There is so much fuel on the ground, I am surprised this has not happened sooner than later.

Not happy with Campfire 24/7 smell since Jult 21'st
