Default mcgregor whitefish reports?

Is anyone having any luck with whites at McGregor? Commercial fishing has been stopped for a few years so the population should be high unless the walleye are eating all the small fish.

There was a couple guys out trying to catch them a week ago I didn’t talk to anyone I saw three and caught 1. Pretty poor but I am a whitefish beginner so I can’t right a good review. If somebody wants to go out there with me and show a guy where to find them I would be in. Can’t drive yet 8-9” of ice

Find a shole or flats on top of a point then drop down a wire worm and cross your fingers. I haven’t got them figures out.

I was out 2 weeks ago ....didn't make it out tell 10am and missed the bite but we did see some fatties and broke one off on light line. I would find a flat with some vegetation in about 6ft of water.

Haven't fished there yet , but usually they bite early or late , and really slow down during the middle of the day. Good luck
