Default Friendly little guy...

So last evening I saw something move near the bush line behind the house. As I walked towards it, determined it was a small fawn. Could see Mom in the trees near it.

So I made a "kissing" sound, and the little bugger started walking towards me. It actually stepped on my foot, and stood there for a bit. Mom then made a funny noise, and it slowly went back to her. No fear.

Pretty neat experience!...

Wicked! Good thing mama didn't come kick your butt! haha!

I used to have experiences similar pretty regular when on our acreage out in Water Valley. Sometimes the mama's were chill but others you could see them being far more wary. I was always watching when the fawns were out.

Cool experience.

I had something similar about 20 years age. Was driving down a backroad in NW Saskatchewan. Trees lined both sides of the road, not ditches. A Doe ran out about 50 yards ahead I slowed and a fawn came out and lied down on the road. Would not move. I got out picked it up and set it on the edge of the road as near to the trees as I could. Momma was only about 5 yards away. It is an experience I won't forget. That fawn was likely only 15-20 pounds.

The little buggars are very naïve in their early days.

You fatten that little bugger up nice and big Phil.

Whatever you do, do not get emotionally attached!

Thumbs up Time to polish your tiara

That is awesome! Well done!
Just so you know, if this story gets out into the greater interwebs, you are one chickadee perched on your shoulder away from being a bona fide Disney Princess.
