Default Good deal on calipers

If there is anyone that is just getting into reloading, there is a good deal on the electronic calipers at Canadian Tire. Just bought one today for $9.99. If they are out of stock, ask for a rain check.

I already had a similar one that I had purchased a number of years ago from Princess Auto. Both are of similar quality. The Canadian Tire one only measures in millimeters and decimal inches, while the Princess Auto version measures in fractions of an inch as well. Both of them use the small LR44 watch battery. I always keep a spare in my caliper case.

They will not be in the quality range of something like a Starrett or Mitutoyo brand, but definitely good enough for reloading.

If it is something that you need, go check them out!

CT one I got on sale is way better quality than the PA model. Metal as opposed to plastic.

I have one of the Can tire ones as well, and it is really great, been using it over a year and its still accurate to the thousandth when compared to my micrometer rounding off the tenthousandths.

Default Crappy Tire

Had to buy the digital display ( Getting old really sucks ) calipers. My old handed down from my Dad vernier calipers just were not cutting it any more as I can't read them with my tired eyes.

The CT ones work fine and for ten bucks you cannot go wrong.

I have a set bought at canadian tire on sale for $15 they are great. I have a $150 caliper and I hate to admit it but the can tire one works just as good. Not sure if my $15 can tire calipers are the same as the $9 ones on sale now. Home depot had the same ones as my $15 calipers for $46 bucks.

Thanks. I misplaced mine somewhere. $10 for a replacement is a heck of a deal!
