Default good taxidermist?

My friend caught a huge 14lb 6oz walleye out of buck lake earlier today in the cold, he kept it in the livewell and froze it as soon as he got home, its huge I coulden't believe my eyes. anyways he wants to have it mounted does anyone know of a good taxidermist that could do a great job on this walleye and any idea of what it could cost.

Good for your buddy catching a monster like that. But my feelings on mounting fish is take a picture and measurements, put the big fish back, they are your best spawners and best chances of keeping these fish around for the future. Just my thoughts on the matter, Sorry I know this wasn't an answer to your question.

Wow...thats a hog!!!! With out a doubt he needs to take that into Borowski's in sherwood park. He does the best work i have ever seen on fish and game. Sorry not to sure of price, he would probably give a good deal if your buddy was going to take it to some F&W dinners to display it and let him put his advertising on it, just a guess though. Hopefully he wrapped it in a wet towel before he froze it, i hear that is the thing to do.

Just out of curiousity... what was the length of the fish??? I released a 32inch, guessing that would of been around a 10-11 lb.

Geeez...i am so jealous

Thats all I needed to hear, Ill let him know and ask him the length and post it hopfully with a few pics. If the regs allow for a fish to be kept and you land a trophy of a lifetime well I would have kept it to.
