Default Strikemaster leaky gas tank

Anyone have any luck finding aftermarket gas tank line grommets for the Lazer/pro/magnum models? The tank has been leaking from the grommets for a few years but usually when it had new fuel added after storage the grommets would swell up and seal good after about a day or two. It will no longer seals now. Getting the originals appears to be a real pain so I'm hunting for an alternative. Thanks

Could you close the leak with some "Seal All" or JB Quick?

That would solve the grommet leak for you.

Is it the solo 142 power head or an older model?

I Bought the auger in 2010/11 season I believe but the power head is the solo 154. I think the tank and parts are the same as the 142.

My Eskimo did the same, this was a few years ago, I've since moved to electric.

I remember buying a oil and gas resistant sealant, cleaning the tank thoroughly and applying. I didn't have any more leaks after that.

This is listed on CanTires website, it might work for your application.

My old Eskimo gas started to leak around the grommet as well. Used some Permatex Aviation gasket sealer. Never leaked again while I owned it.

The Lawn Mower hospital is great to deal with on things like this. From recoils to grommets, they can pretty well supply it all.

Default DIY tank

Had same problem with my Eskimo, tried various things. Finally made my own tank out of stainless sheet metal. Works fantastic now.

Finally got around to dealing with my leaky auger. Ended up ordering this from Amazon cause the dimensions seemed right and it worked good. Easy fix once I found the right part.
