Kennel retriever name? H E L P
Interested in your thoughts on a great labrador retriever kennel name. time to start thinking out my retirement lol. Will only be breeding labrador retrievers, geared towards hunters and hunt test games. Besides breeding , training geared towards hunters which means easily capable of doing hunt tests /nahra/hrch as well as offering started dogs for those who do not like puppy phase/training. but waterfowl is my passion. coming up with a name is not all that easy atleast not for me.
possible names:
- Locked & Loaded Retrievers
- Black Thunder Retrievers
- Hunt it Up kennels
- Banded Bird Kennels
- Gunners Up Kennels
- Diamond n' the Ruff Kennels
- Cattail Kennels
Trying to find something that really resonates, identifiable, and not forgotten.

Nick says Cattail Kennels is the best. It is growing on me too. Easy to come up with an excellent logo too. Outline of a black lab head peaking through the cattails. I bet there is someone on the forum handy enough to raw one for you too.

I'll third or forth that. Cattails and labs, ducks have a cattail connection as do pheasants.

I like Cattail Kennels. I think cattails and instantly thoughts of ducks and labs come up. As mentioned, the logo would be pretty easy to do too.
Although you said you are only interested in breeding labradors it also gives you the option down the road if you change your mind and want to move into another breed.

Pretty exciting stuff man!
I always like the use of the term 'Gun Dogs' in a title or "Retrievers" somehow in the name. Out of the ones you posted, I really like Black Thunder, or either of MK2750's recommendations.
Cattail seems to 'generic' to me personally, but I do understand the draw to it.

Some awesome suggestions. For that i thank you all for your creativity and taking the time. Please keep them coming!!. Right now I’m liking black thunder retrievers. I like the proven pedigrees as a tag line as that will be a big part of my breeding program. Hence the extensive search on my new pup
Many of the names suggested are existing kennels. I could go real simple and go Alberta Gun dogs but no zing to it but you know what it is lol. It is exciting to start to bring this to fruition. Now if i can just find the right parcel of land for the new build for training grounds.
