Gull lake or Sylvan lake on Oct 12

first time for whitefish , no sure which lake is a little better for boat fishing.

any suggestion such as which area and what kind lure to catch whitefish

is it morning between 8-11am a good time for whitefish ?

if goes to sylvan lake
which is a litter batter : half moon bay (provincial park) or another provincial park near golf club and both have a good boat lunch ?
