Default Advice on deleting emissions on pickup?

Has anyone had their truck deleted recently in Calgary? Any advice on who does a good job? What price should I expect?

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

What year and make truck? That will help determine what a fair price is. If it’s within a few years old it will be a lot more expensive. Also if it’s a pre DEF (but still has DPF) truck it will be cheaper.

Might want to talk to them about a tranny kit if you have a 68RFE.

Just something to think about or look into.... I have an 2018 Ford and I have been considering doing the same thing. But, It seems to be becoming a big deal on resale or trade in if the "emissions" have been altered. i had a trade estimate done recently when it was in for some work and that was the first thing they asked me. An exporter to the US I know won't touch one that has been deleted. (trade in offer was pathetic BTW)

Wherever you go tell the Shop you are keeping ALL the parts so that you can sell the truck out of Province.

When you go to pay they of course will forget to give you the components. At least that is what Park Muffler did to me.

When reminded, and noted on the work order in big letters in ink in my hand writing, the story was that they threw it in the bin. After a little wrangling I got $750 off instead which was fine.

So lesson 1. Tell them you want the parts back. Lesson 2, put it in writing on the Work Order that you get all parts back. Lesson 3, check out what a Cat sells for on the scrap metal market (told about $1,200 these days for Dodge). You will need this information when you have to wrangle the price reduction when they try and tell you they threw it in the recycle bin and can't find it.

Default doing the delete

Had a 2014 that when the DEF system crapped the bed, had the delete done because it was 3000 cheaper than repairing it to factory.
When I went to buy a new one in 2023, the original trade in was 28,000 until they found out about the delete. They farmed out some bids and had a hard time coming back with 20,000.
Once the delete has been done, it is ALMOST illegal anywhere out of Alberta and Saskatchewan. B.C. and most places stateside will refuse to work on them and they have to be towed.

That's the thing about deleting a Diesel. Most of the reasons for a break down now are removed.

Just post up a picture of your emissions components and one of the mods will be happy to delete it for you.

2012 Ram 3500 6.7 Cummins

Deleted and straight piped turbo back.

Bully dog set on tow mode and will always be, turned that truck into a truck, performance, fuel economy, big difference from stock.

And no I don’t roll coal, or roll down my window down to hear my exhaust, it’s my choice.
Whether it be a KW, a Pete or whatever, I garbage all that crap so a diesel engine can do, what a diesel engine is made for..be a work horse.

Buy em for work, and play as well, not for the wife to go get her nails done…

Exactly what I did also. My diesel now gets better fuel economy than my 09 Hemi half ton I kept all the parts and sealed up the wiring plugs so it can be reinstalled if the government ever makes us put the crap back on.
