A old timer horse guy, told me about, 8 guys heading into the back county with a pack horse each so 16 horses and 8 guys, heading down a horse trail, nobody noticed the cougar in the trees above the trail, so 8 guys and 15 horses keep going, then the last pack horse being towed, the cougar jumped down on the last horse, broke the neck on the horse, dead before in hit the ground, no body was prepared to shoot the cougar.

What's up with the young fellow in the first picture wearing the life jacket around the fire? There has to be a story in that alone.

Love rehashing tales for years gone by with old and new friends. Fire not required by sure is nice when you have one.

It's a tradition with our family - as soon as the Sun sets, the song dogs perform their serenade, and then Grandpa tells his tall tales. Well, actually, I'm beginning to think there's some truth to those...

As the kids get bigger, it turns into a competition between the parents and the kids who can tell the best stories. So much fun!

The stories are told every year when we r hunting and fishing. And told with the grandkids now. I must say those stories get better with age. 😂😂
