Default Bait near Edmonton

Like many of you, I'm pretty bummed that there are no minnows to be had around Edmonton right now (the Fishin Hole and Cabelas are telling me June).

I wonder if anyone has any information on where to find some? I bought the ones in the Superstore freezer last year but it looks like they've changed their brand and the new ones don't work as well. I need some traditional ones in a tub!

Also, any tips on where to find leeches? It's less than 48 hours to kickoff here folks - we need some ammunition!

Thanks!

I’ve bin trapping my own leeches for the last 2 weeks. Get some pie plates fold in half put some beef liver of heart in pie plate and poke hole in edge of plate and tie fish line or rope and throw it in your favourite slough, pond , dugout and catch your own. Very easy 2-3 fow along shore should get u enough for opening day. Tight lines.
